Peter Parker stood in front of a glass case at his school, staring at a picture. Or more specifically, the plaque under the picture.
Commemoration to Tony Stark for the Salvation of Humanity, it read. A phantom tear slipped down Peter’s cheek, but he wouldn’t let himself cry a real one.
Tony was alive. Six months ago, he’d awoken from the coma he’d fallen into after he snapped. Since the press conference announcing that he’d woken up, he’d been reclusive, presumably enjoying time with his daughter and wife.
But not his son.

The humans threw Grace away. Grace, who worked so hard to save them, who came back for Rocky when he realized the taomoeba would eat through Rocky's ship. Grace, who gave up his chance to go home to save Erid too.
And then Rocky finds out exactly how Grace ended up in space.
They're not giving him back now. Grace will always have a place on Erid where he's beloved and cherished the way he should be, even if it takes Grace a while to believe he's worth that. Rocky may or may not have plans to fix up the Hail Mary for the trip back anyways- there were a few things they wanted to say directly to Stratt's face.

Summary
Grace is unprepared for the level of love that all of Erid seemed to have for him. It was vaguely terrifying, but also.... nice? To be cared for. To be wanted.
It gets worse when they find out the circumstances of him ending up on the Hail Mary.
When his declining health necessitates a trip back to Earth, he is faced with a planet that loves him so fiercely and wonderfully that it finally starts to break through his crippling lack of self worth and bloom into something incredible.
And Earth? Earth has to deal with an Erid that is polite, protective, and most of all, pissed.
