Summary
He isn’t sure exactly how to describe the way it feels to have his body rebuilt and torn apart and rebuilt time and time again, but it feels an awful lot like sleep. Though now, as his will has grown weaker alongside his body, it’s more as though he’s wide awake on a hot summer night, unable to move as the figure at the base of his bed presses her claws into the meat of his calves. He screams, but the only noise that can be heard is the gurgle of the bile in his throat.
Or,
James Sunderland is stuck in a time loop.

Summary
Blood is splattered all over the room but most of the bodies are gone. A small eye locks in on a green bag on the floor. The pulling turns into a harsh tug as it lurches towards this item and reaches out to it. This is important. This is very important. It gingerly picks it up by its strap and slings it over its right shoulder. Yes, that feels right.

Summary
Grace nodded, then said, “You guys mentioned there was a, a big angry ball of flesh? In Raccoon Regional Health?”
“Oh, yeah,” Leon said with a shudder. “Horrifying. We were planning to head back and take care of it once and for all, give it a quick end.” It was the very least he could do for—whoever it had once been.
“What if,” she said. “What if you could save them?”
