No- but the wind had died down, and he realized with a frown that he could not hear anything of the forest any longer. There were no insects, no frogs or birds. It was so silent, he thought for a moment he could hear his own heartbeat.

    The hair on Robert’s neck stood on end, his arms covered in goosebumps. He froze, looking around. If there was anything he knew, it was that this was the sign of a predator. When he turned, he thought he could see a shadow moving within the night.

    But he found that he wasn’t afraid.
