Summary
Dean’s standing in the middle of the laundry aisle holding an off brand bleach pen and looking extremely offended by the empty box that once held Tide To Go pens. Next to them are bleach pens and others similar, but Dean’s picky and a stickler for brands he likes. He’s kind of a ‘this brand or bust’ kind of guy. If anyone asked Sam, any of them would do just fine on the bloodstains that peppers Dean's white shirt.

Summary
Tension slowly rose between them, first a static then a crackle. Sam licked his lips and Dean knew to brace himself.
"Yeah, um. So. She called Benny your mate," Sam said, looking down. His tone and wording caught Dean off guard.
"What? Oh come on, man, you know 'mate' is slang in Mary Poppins Land," Dean was quick to defend.
His breath caught in his throat when Sam looked up and ensnared Dean in his gaze. Hazel eyes were a muddy brown and it really hit Dean then just how affected Sam was and how much he must have put together. Dean's heart began to trip in his chest.
"You and I both know that she wasn't calling him your friend." -

When did this become Sam's life?
Working on getting his lungs under control and looking anywhere but at his worried brother('s blood), Sam's gaze landed on the window just in time for his own veins to run cold.
A dark shadow of a figure had darted past, as real as the screams from earlier, and Sam barely managed to get out a wheezy,
"Someone's outside--"
Before the power went out and they were cast into darkness.
This time, Sam wasn't the only one who heard screams. -

“Just a few more days, and then they’ll be back on the Enterprise and he’ll be back in his captain’s quarters that he doesn’t share with anyone, and he won’t be trying to fall asleep on a pillow that smells of Bones, or wake up entangled in the arms of someone he can’t have.” Sequel to Yet There’s Still This Appeal.

Summary
Dean Winchester has everything he wants. He has a new life in the suburbs, one where he's retired from hunting. He has a house, a new job, a safe world around him where he doesn't question if he'll make it through the day. He has beer in his refrigerator and he never wonders if he's in immediate danger.
And he has Sam. He has Sam in every single way.
But of course, that's not his real life. Sam saves his life and pulls him out of the djinn fantasy apple pie life. And now Dean has to figure out how to go back to being a hunter. A hunter who isn't in love with his brother.
Can Dean do that? Does he want to?
Maybe the apple pie life isn't just a djinn fantasy after all.
