    Magneto had to continue with his plan, regardless, but that did not mean he could not avenge his husband.

    I just think that Charles and Erik being in love would have made all X-Men movies better.

    So, obviously, Erik loses his mind when Charles 'dies' in The Last Stand. But in a vindictive way :)
