Aria Crane comes aboard the Going Merry with three things: twin iron fans, a Devil Fruit that turns a battlefield into something that looks like choreography, and her dead mother's unfinished notebook.
The notebook is the important one.
Inside it: descriptions of dances from islands Odette never reached. Rhythms collected from passing sailors. The beginning of a composition she called the world, and never completed.
Aria is going to finish it. She's going to dance on every sea, collect every rhythm, and bring her mother somewhere she never got to go.
She just didn't plan on the Grand Line being this loud. Or Roronoa Zoro being this impossible to read.
A canon-compliant OC story, East Blue through Egghead. The canon story stays. Everything around it shifts.

"Are you a ghost or something?” He sounds way too excited about that, but that's not surprising. They smile at him. Their cheeks ache. Their eyes burn. They can still feel their skull cracking open, if they focus hard enough.
“Yeah, I guess!” Smiling, smiling, smiling. The curve of their cheeks fills their voice with something false. “Or, wait, maybe I’m closer to a zombie, actually? Since I have a body, and all.”
“Do you poop, then?”
“Not sure? I mean, this dying thing is pretty new. I haven’t tested it out yet.”
He nods, sagely. “It’s a mystery, then. Hey, do you want to join my crew?”
Smiling, smiling, smiling. His eyes are dark as they track the shape of it. They wonder if he can see the way it trembles. “Shouldn’t you introduce yourself first? Kinda rude to just up and proposition a stranger like that.”
They already know what he’s going to say.
They’ve known what he was going to say since they woke up and saw the hat.
(That doesn’t mean that it hurts any less to hear. That doesn’t make it any less beautiful.)
“I’m Monkey D. Luffy, and I’m gonna be King of the Pirates!”

Ryland Grace thought that working on secret government science projects and then being basically bitten by a radioactive spider and then turning into a gosh-darn superhuman would be the wildest thing that ever happened to him. Because why wouldn't it???
But then one day, after coming home from his perfectly NORMAL job as a school teacher, he senses something. Something new, yet familiar. After trying to chase his best friend's worry away (that certainly won't bite him in the butt, no....) he walks into his house and finds...NINE other spider people. A good chunk of them, by the way, are TEENAGERS and he's pretty certain that he shouldn't be ok with literal kids runninga round risking lives. He's a teacher, for crying out loud!
