“It just seems like—it should mean something,” Steve said plaintively.
“Well, I guess it does,” Sam said, after a thoughtful moment. “Means you’re not a virgin anymore.”

Tony tends to be tactile with people he trusts. These days that list of people includes Steve, which is a good sign of the progression of their friendship. For his part, Steve seems to enjoy it as much as Tony does... until Tony goes a little too far.

“That’s how it is on this bitch of an earth,” Steve says, merciless and unnaturally bright considering it’s barely 5 a.m. Bucky dislikes him so much. “Farm schedules, up with the roosters, down with the sun.”

Summary
But as he reaches Madison Avenue, Stark Tower a mere block away, the skies open with a whoosh, and he barely manages to duck under the construction scaffolding perched over the sidewalk. Thunder rumbles overhead, and Bucky frantically checks every compartment of his bag for an umbrella he knows is there.
It’s not. He does find some loose glitter, though, and a lipstick he wore for Pride and had thought he’d lost, plus a spare MetroCard he can’t remember buying.
He also gets a crystal clear flashback of leaving the umbrella under his desk to dry yesterday morning, and never picking it up again.

Clint was never any good at strategy. He's pretty good at putting his foot in his mouth, though. Never to the extent where he ends up accidentally marrying someone he's not seen in twenty years, though.

Summary
Steve had been with Bucky since high school, going on seven years now, and he would never, never cheat. He wasn't that guy. But he wasn't dead, either. And this guy was wearing low-rider jeans and, apparently, nothing else -- no socks or shoes or shirt and... holy fuck, those shoulders.
(A bit of utterly plotless get-together fluff, inspired by the random tumblr prompt, "found a dog wandering the street and decided to return it to the address on the tag")

Summary
“Give me a mission,” the Winter Soldier says, a thread of desperation underneath the flat tone of his voice, and Clint’s way too sleep-deprived to deal with this right now.
“Hold this,” he orders, shoves a cup of flour into mismatched hands.
Then he goes back to mixing.

Summary
There’s a long pause and then Bucky thunks his head against Steve’s shoulder again, sounds defeated when he speaks again. “I want to keep him.”
Well. Fair enough. Steve’s brain is still replaying the last hour on repeat, and he’s starting to think that propositioning Clint Barton for casual sex was a terrible idea for reasons that weren’t on the pro/con list that Bucky made on Thursday.
“Me too,” Steve says, and his voice is just as defeated as Bucky’s.

Summary
Clint impulsively invites Tony over to his apartment for dinner. He only has three hours and he'd forgotten the state in which he left his apartment. Plus, it's his apartment. Tony Stark has three mansions. Clint Barton has three rooms. What the hell was he thinking? For his part, Tony is quite pleased to hang out at Clint's apartment even though he's a bit disturbed at the complete lack of even a Roomba.

Summary
After Bucky was released from the hospital, it only took him a couple of weeks to give up on himself. Difficult to believe in any kind of future when the simple act of staying alive was almost too big an effort.
Out the frosted window, across the street, there was a tiny homeless guy burrowing under an awning.
