Summary
Jamie’s number one person is his mum, always has been. He grew up with her, loves her. She’s his best friend. After his dad came back into his life, however, he slowly loses contact with her, the looming presence of his dad cracking them apart. When he finally decides he wants out from under his father’s thumb and blows up his life to return to Richmond, he reaches back out to her. They start texting each other again, while Jamie tries to get back into the team’s good graces, until they finally reunite when she shows up to the Dogtrack to surprise him. Her appearance shows everyone that, at his heart, Jamie’s a mummy’s boy, even if they mostly know him as his father’s son.

“What the FUCK?!”
Standing in front of him, dripping wet, skin flushed pink from the hot water, wearing nothing but blue checkered boxers, was a 20-something year-old Matt, eyes like saucers as he gaped at the middle aged man standing in his bedroom.
Ben bit down on the inside of his cheek, trying to wake himself up from what had to be some sick, perverted dream.
Matt, this sweet little baby-faced Matt, stepped closer, breathing hard. Ben stepped back, pressing himself into the edge of the desk.
