Everyone was under the assumption that Conner's other half of his DNA was from Lex Luthor. Everyone said it was, after all. The man himself said it was. No one thought to suspect that the egotistical narcissist of a billionaire would lie about something like that. No one did until Conner turned invisible, clothes and all, during a mission and he didn't know how to become visible again. During a Justice League and Young Justice meeting to find out what happens, it comes to light that Conner's other DNA was not Lex Luthor, but rather a hero that has been missing for the past ten years. Conner was stuck invisible until they find Danny Phantom.

“Are your parents around?” Shouta had avoided asking before, not wanting to scare the kid off.
“Nope.” Danny started picking the table, moving the cloth back and forth. He didn’t meet Shouta’s eyes, “They’re uhh…gone. Or I’m gone? It doesn’t matter, I haven’t seen them in a while.” There was a story there, but Shouta wouldn’t push. He knew a wound when he saw one.
“Any other family? An aunt or uncle perhaps?” He tried instead.
“Nope,” He laid his head on the table using his arms as a pillow, covering Digiorno from view, “none of those.”
“Are you staying with anyone?” Shouta already knew the answer to that question.
“Only if you count the cats as ‘someone,’” He sat up meeting Shouta’s gaze, “I’ve just been around.”
★In other words, Aizawa Picks up a stray

“You can call me Aizawa,” the man — Aizawa — introduced himself with a small nod. “Danny, what happened?”
Danny stiffened so hard, he could feel the pull of his skin and muscles. He winced as a result, looking pointedly at Aizawa as he felt weak and out of control and hoped he may seem intimidating. “Nothing.”
“Danny.” It was the same tone Jazz used when Danny was doing something selfless, though stupid. Aizawa stared him down, silently waiting for an answer that didn’t come. Finally, he broke the silence again. “I want to help. You need to tell me what happened.”
“I don’t need to do anything!” Danny snapped his response, tears springing to his eyes. He looked quickly away from Aizawa, though found himself unable to keep the tracks of moisture from pooling and falling down his face. “I should go. I can take care of myself.”

After a horrifyingly traumatic experience in the clutches of the Guys in White higher ups, Danny finds himself in another dimension entirely. Aizawa, finding him while on patrol that fateful night, lends a helping hand.

A woman with a firm expression looked up to someone else, announcing he was awake.

What kind of name was that?
"A strong one, nice to see you alive. Do you know where you are?"
Apparently he said that aloud, "Heh, I'm g-guessing not Amity? "
He felt the grip on his hand tighten.
"Breathe."
