Summary
When the sun sets and the night falls, darkness brings forward even the weakest glimmer, sights that are invisible to the eye during the day become conspicuous in the absence of light. The night also brings forth dreams, a way to escape the world, even for just a few hours.
But for them, there’s no escape. They aren't quite human, but it wears them down just the same, makes them falter just the same.
So Chanyeol notices something weird with Kyungsoo, whom he considers his best friend, and he thinks it has something to do with his nightmares. Kyungsoo could tell him why, Chanyeol would want nothing more than that, but he won't say, for reasons they will both only really know much later down the road.
In the meantime, Kyungsoo struggles with his mission, keeping up a lie and learning to be human in the process, ultimately questioning whether or not he deserves his name and his spot beside Chanyeol.

Summary
Chanyeol feels something wrapping around his wrists and when he looks up at them, he sees Baekhyun’s tie binding them together, the cloth wrinkled with how firmly it’s secured.
It sucks the breath out of Chanyeol. He pulls his arms down, “This—” is what you’re playing at, huh? is what he wants to ask, but Baekhyun interrupts by forcing his arms up again, pressing his wrists down onto the bed, unyielding.
“Stay,” Baekhyun snaps. Chanyeol’s teeth clack shut.
In which Baekhyun devours Chanyeol. Who can blame him when Chanyeol was asking for it, though?

Yuuji rolls his eyes, unimpressed.
Sukuna’s hands fly to his head, fingers pressing into his scalp, the points of his thumbnails pricking Yuuji’s tear ducts. It’s the barest touch, but it’s enough for tears to spring in Yuuji’s eyes, for him to blink rapidly until they bead on his lashes. He stares at Sukuna through it, unmoving and defiant.
“I’ve taken these before for such insolence.” Sukuna leers, glutted on the memory of Yuuji’s pain. “I like to eat pretty things.”
“You won’t take them again.”
“Oh?” His human eyes are half-hooded. The ones in his mask stay wide and lidless. All of them are on Yuuji. “Do you think you can stop me?”
