Lucifer had been present during Adam's creation. He'd stood by and watched the elder Archangels smooth over the clay that would then later turn to flesh, as they gave him a shape as close to perfection as possible.
Before Adam had even begun breathing, he'd stood tall. Chin up in the air, shoulders squared, his face had been turned towards the rising sun. Lucifer, still only a few hundred years old at the time, had stood far in the back of the crowd of angels, watching giddily at Heaven's - God's - Magnum Opus. With awe he'd observed the more experienced angels work. Even made of clay, Lucifer could appreciate Adam's long, flowing hair, his broad stature, his proud stance.

Airplane cringed, bringing his thumb to his lips, but Shen Qingqiu batted the hand away before the author could start biting the nail. “Well, kinda. I was having my own internal crisis at the time, and realizing I was bi and… well… I started writing my own side story of Binghe’s true romance. Just for me.”
Now Shen Qingqiu was starting to squirm. He’d never admit it, but he had always been a bit… anxious about Binghe’s intended love interests. Usually, it was just petty concerns he wasn’t enough to keep his husband’s attention when the demon emperor was seemingly meant for a harem in the triple digits. But hearing his husband potentially had a soulmate written into canon—“Who?” He demanded.
Shang Qinghua swallowed nervously, fidgeting and it suddenly clicked for Shen Qingqiu.
