Summary
Jumping over him, she lands back where the other gun is and picks it up to intimidate him. “Not so tough when you’re not the only one with a gun, huh?”
Before she knows it. The second gun was pointed at her, and as a reflex, she pulled the trigger on the stolen gun. She wouldn’t let it happen again. She wouldn’t let her indecision kill her. Never again.
Bang
The noise didn’t shock her as much as she expected. She remembered when she was top of her class at the School of the Night at the range. The motion was familiar to her, reminding her of her time in London. She pulled the trigger 2 more times to be sure, as if the man was just another paper version of the Justice League. By the time the third bullet left the gun, she realized what she’d done.
Time froze. She watched as the body fell in slow motion.

Jaime looks to his own hands. When he was younger, much younger, he’d imagined travelling as a street performer to wow noblemen and urchins alike with his magic. "What have you done," Bruce growls suddenly, pushing Jason back against the wall with a forearm on his chest. "What did you do!"
Jason tries to knee Bruce between his legs. Bruce grabs his thigh just in time and rucks his hoodie up with his shirt. A cold, dreadful horror seizes him at the sight. Multiple scabs glint at him in the low light, fresh, red and sore. Teeth marks on skin. Rabid, long teeth marks across a body that's relatively flushed and healthy. When Bruce pushes Jason's chin up, he catches tiny indents there too.
"You've been feeding her," Bruce accuses.
Jason stares back with wry amusement, lifting one brow as if to say You've been starving him.
A witch's curse on a bad night in Gotham leaves Bruce and Jason with a pressing dilemma. Two of them.
