But here he was with Tubbo again the moon was almost on top of him, like a night light that you never wanted, the same light that shines after recovering from a horrendous nightmare. Tommy’s heart was pounding as he shakily grabbed a water bottle and poured it on the goat boy's back. Washing all the blood away to reveal a deep cut and bruising littering around.
“You have to tell someone or at least get out please Tubbs” Tommy had mumbled out looking down to the ground to see the bloody muddy mess, “Tubbo? Bud? Schlatt is not a good person. Look at you! A good father would not get drunk every night and go out and through life away, he is not taking care of you!” Tommy stranded trying his best not to yell but still in a panicked way.

“Can I ask you something?” Mic asks, slowly looking away from the sky as the cloud passes and the sun’s rays shine on them again.
“Of course.”
“Why do you want to be a hero, Kaminari?” Mic’s voice is gentle, as if he’s afraid to break whatever somber mood has settled over them as well.
Kaminari looks down, into the sea of people walking so far below them. Kaminari can’t hear them, can barely make out their faces, even. But, he can imagine what they’re doing. Adults walking to and from work, or the store running errands. Some laden with bags, others with briefcases. Teenagers and kids walking home from school, stopping at corner stores and arcades to hang out longer with their friends. Families walking downtown, children in the middle, clutching their parent’s hands and laughing in joy. Everyone living their lives, in their own bubbles, going about their day. Kaminari can feel himself smiling as he observes them.
Or, Kaminari interns with Present Mic. It goes better than Kaminari could have ever hoped.

Summary
The commission had always threatened to clip his wings. The thought terrified him. To clip a bird's wings, despite popular belief, doesn’t actually mean to cut them off; it’s just cutting the tips off the flight feathers, they grow back and for birds it’s usually painless. This, Hawks knows. Hawks also knows that when the commission says it that way, they DO mean slicing his wings clean off his back. But they never have, and besides threats have shown no intent to actually do so.
Hawks came to see it as an empty threat. Today, he’s enlightened to the fact that it may not be out of the realm of possibility, and none of the commission's threats are ever truly empty.

Or, the commission gets tired of cutting back Hawks talons, and also happen to need a good punishment; they declaw him.
