    An intruder has been caught in the Decepticon base, though one bot seems to know exactly who this is, for better or worse.

    Shockwave has always been logical. From an outside perspective, they were just weird. Though unusual, anyone in the Decepticon base would admit that they were incredible at their job. A little stoic, if anything, and relatively reserved. This perhaps was why it was so surprising for everyone when the incident occurred.

As the bot stared at himself it was as if the time passed faster than ever, the more he stared into his reflection the more he was unsure it was even himself, a figure that had no name, he did not look like Sonic but he did not look like himself either, an unknown mutation with no name and meaning, a lack of purpose to fuel its existence. Did Metal truly even have an identity outside of who he was modelled after anyhow? He could not yearn to be his own person whilst also chasing his goal of becoming the one, true sonic, it was contradictory."

    After an average encounter with Sonic, Metal Sonic starts to feel all of his hatred for the hedgehog well up inside of him.

    He decides that only one Sonic can exist at a time, in a fair one-on-one fight he’ll take Sonic on. If he so happens to lose, maybe that isn’t the worst option.
