    Summary

She sighs again, “you and that damn hero complex.”

Dick shoots her a grin, “is it a complex if I actually am a hero?”

    **

The BAU gets a new recruit. he's young, charming, and all of his answers lead to more questions.

It's one bat vs. six of the best profilers in the world and the second best tech goddess in history so it's really anyone's guess whether Dick Grayson will learn all their secrets before they learn his.

It's okay, though, he only has to last long enough to either keep Emily Prentiss alive or figure out if she's working with a mass terrorist.

    Summary

Dick rubbed the back of his neck sheepishly. “I’m mostly used to sparring with my little brothers, it’s kind of just habit, and I was having fun. I didn’t want the match to be over too quick.”

“Too quick?” Derek asked, eyebrows raised. “I’m twice your size, kid.”

Dick shrugged. “So’s Bruce and we’re pretty much tied at this point, or at least according to the score board the kids started to keep for Saturday spars.”

“Saturday spars?” Derek repeated, following him towards the locker room.

Dick flashed him a smile. “What? Don’t have any weird family traditions?”

“Not ones that include hitting each other,” Derek said

    Summary

The whistles were for the Waynes. Tim may have forced himself to be a bird, but it wasn’t his place to force himself into their lives even more. There was a line that Tim still wasn’t allowing himself to cross. He was here first as a crutch for Bruce, now as a tool to help control the crime in Gotham.

OR: Tim doesn't know the whistle code, at first. He ends up wishing that he did know both the code, and how to finger whistle.

    Summary

Five times Jason, Dick, and Bruce used whistles to talk with each other plus the one time it wasn't the family.
    Or
Jason learned whistling from Dick. From there, it spiraled.

The rewritten version of Whistle Tones. I'm leaving the original work up in case there are readers who prefer that version over this one, but posting it separately for reasons known only me.
