He opens his eyes, and stares up at the canopy of the four poster bed he's in. It takes a second, his vision is a bit blurry, but it clears up quick enough.
Two seconds.
Three seconds.
Four seconds.
Part of Jason keeps the count going, while the rest of him kind of just...seizes. Because he knows this canopy. He knows the the posts it's attached to. He—fuck—he knows the notch in the bottom left post he'd put in it when he'd stolen one of Bruce's batarangs when he was twelve and thrown it around like the stupid kid he'd been.
This was Jason's room.
Or, the one where Jason gets zapped with magic, wakes up in his teenage body, and decides to let the timeline know exactly how fucked it is. He also becomes the president of the Tim Drake Appreciation Club.

“Enough Yuuri!” Victor stands, slashing his hand in front of him as if to violently slap Yuuri's words away. “Head Coach Nikiforov this! Head Coach Nikiforov that! Am I truly nothing more to you than an amazingly talented head coach?! Does your heart not yearn the way mine does!”
He allows his lips to tremble as he stops blinking long enough for tears to begin to form in his eyes.
“I've never even called you that,” Yuuri mutters under his breath.
“Script!”
Yuuri sighs yet again. “Head Coach...I mean...Victor...read this with longing and try to cry a little bit, you know what you've done to this man and you feel the beginnings of regret.”
“Don't read the stage directions.”
“...I feel more than the beginnings of regret.”
Once upon a time, Yuuri Katsuki broke Victor Nikiforov's heart. He put it back together again almost right away, of course, but sometimes one apology isn't enough. Sometimes, apologizing is a process.
And, sometimes, that process includes indulging your soon-to-be-husband in some unconventional roleplay.

Summary
They’d been dating for over a year and Bernard still hadn’t met Tim’s family. Bernard knew that Tim was an anxious, paranoid mess, and that he was just trying to keep things under control, but still. Not knowing Tim’s family made their whole thing feel less. . .permanent. Easier for Tim to end when he got scared. Easier for Tim to leave Bernard alone. Again.
But Bernard was determined to make this work, because this past year had been the best year of his life and that was in large part due to Tim. So he’d done what normal, healthy people did in relationships and communicated his concerns to his boyfriend.
And Tim had proven, once again, that he actually listened to Bernard.
Or, Bernard bonding with the Batkids while also dealing with his trauma from his parents and from the cult. And maybe finding a family along the way.
