Summary
Armand pressed closer until Daniel had nowhere left to move except against him.
His hips jerked upward hard enough to break whatever rhythm remained, and the sound that left him was sharp and involuntary. His fingers locked around Armand’s sides as his whole body tightened, the change traveling through him beneath Armand’s hands. Daniel’s head fell back. His mouth opened around Armand’s name without quite managing to speak it.
Then he went abruptly loose beneath him.

Armand lifted his mouth from Daniel’s throat.
He expected eyes.
Those eyes. Always questioning. Always accusing.
They were not looking at him.
Daniel’s head had fallen back against the sofa. His eyes were open but unfocused.
Armand touched his face.
Cold.
Armand has spent fifty years convincing himself that what happened between them is over. Daniel’s body disagrees.
