Summary
It goes like this: trouble is stirred up. Big trouble, the sort that threatens to plunge the world into chaos and put the demigods right in the nougat-y center of the end of the world. A quest is given to someone young and good and too-mature-too-fast, usually at Camp Half-blood, but sometimes the questers come from Camp Jupiter. The quest goes to Hades (often on both a literal and figurative level) and gets terribly derailed. The questers face threats and foes out of their league and return miraculously victorious. The apocalypse is prevented just in the nick of time.
It goes like this. Until it doesn’t.

Gaea has won, the world has ended, and seven champions have been sent back in a last-ditch effort to prevent the total desolation of every realm before it can begin. They are perhaps not the first choice for heroes, but Nico, Will, Leo, Pollux, Clarisse, Lou Ellen, and Katie are powerful in their own ways and bonded by years on the front lines of a losing war.Their quest is as simple as it is nigh-impossible: unite the half-bloods, stop the rise of Kronos, and prevent the first war before it can snowball into the second. Should be a piece of cake...right?

When Gaea wins, the world ends badly. Camp Half-Blood falls, Camp Jupiter is swallowed, and more than half of the Seven are dead. In desperation, the Fates do the one thing they should not be able to do: they drag Annabeth Chase and Jason Grace backward through time and shove them into their younger bodies.
Now Annabeth is seven again, armed with too many memories and not nearly enough patience, standing in an alley with Luke and Thalia years before everything goes wrong. Jason wakes in the Wolf House, small and alone, facing the childhood that turned him into Rome’s perfect weapon.
If they want a different future, they will have to change fate—save who they can, endure the unbearable experience of meeting the dead before they die, and somehow survive doing it all over again.

Summary
Its a normal day when Poseidon shows up to Olympus to speak with his sister, Hestia, of a grave matter involving the fates. They have given him a task, and have sent him back in time to do so. With little to go on but their instructions and a horrifying vision of the future, Poseidon begins to make changes with his family.
But the Fates deem it not enough, and while Poseidon feels trapped by his failure to stop the theft of the Bolt, the Fates send back the children of the Big Three. Except, they don't share their instructions or the vision with Percy, Thalia, or Nico.
The Fates are impatient, and Percy is just about done with everything.
