Summary
A nineteen-year-old Shane Hollander is a completely normal college student-- well, almost. In between studying and lectures, he kills vampires.
In a world where vampires crawl the earth, feeding on the innocent, there has to be someone to stop them. Or multiple someones. Shane is one of them, more out of tradition than anything else. He doesn't take pleasure in killing vampires like other hunters do. Despite this, he continues to hunt, to protect the earth from these dangerous, unpredictable, bloodthirsty monsters.
Ilya Rozanov is also a completely normal nineteen-year-old college student. Other than the tiny little hiccup that he's one of the bloodthirsty monsters Shane's grown-up hunting.
Despite their differences, this unlikely duo teams up in an attempt to find what vampire has been going around killing hunters.

“I knew it!!” Rose says with a laugh, swinging her uno cards in the air.
“Nooo,” Hayden complains rather comically, putting down his card.
Something about the small crowd’s undivided attention, or the barely there buzz from the weed has Shane wanting to say more. He licks his bottom lip, before going to sit by Rose.
“He’s a great kisser.”
“What???” Every single one of them call out. He pauses in a kneeling position, taken a back by the unison.
or: Shane is dealing with a fresh break up. He meets Ilya at a party not knowing the full extent of his reputation. Ilya doesn't hold up to it anyways.

Summary
Drafted to the OHL from Russia as a teen, Ilya billets with a Canadian family named the Hollanders. They're kind, if a bit odd in ways that Ilya thinks must go beyond simple cultural differences. But he doesn’t pay it much mind because living with them brings him Shane: their sweet, unbelievably naïve, hero-worshipping son who quickly becomes like a little brother to Ilya. Only Ilya finds his attraction to Shane goes far beyond what’s strictly appropriate for supposed brothers.
Shane's the sweetest thing Ilya ever laid eyes upon. He'd taken to Ilya immediately, with a ferocity that made Mrs. Hollander gently chide him at first until Ilya brushed her concerns off. He has big brown eyes that somehow seem perpetually wet, adorable freckles sprinkled across across his cheeks and nose, and the fattest, poutiest mouth that can only be made for unspeakable acts. He is sin itself wrapped in the most innocent package. He refers to Ilya as his brother, which simultaneously makes Ilya want to hug him and ruffle his hair but also devour him whole.
