A strong grip suddenly enclosed punishingly tight around her chin. Lumine winced, jaw throbbing from old bruising. He seemed to sense he’d aggravated her wound immediately, fingers loosening, just a little. Her chin was tilted up, weary eyes forced to stare into the blank, impersonal mask covering his gaze.
His voice was anything but impersonal. “Who did this to you?” Dottore asked, dulcet tones pitched low and full of teeth. Displeasure radiated off him in waves.

She has had many admirers during her time in Teyvat, and though some of them had made her heart flutter, few have made her fall completely. Xiao had been the first, over the course of many trips to Liyue, and she finds it much easier to breathe when she is there, knowing he is simply around the corner when she needs him.
His presence brings her a sense of peace and comfort she has not felt in a long time. She feels no need to play the brave and heroic Traveler, one of her many titles. She simply feels like Lumine.
