"Death is too easy an escape for an Aetos. Your father didn't give Liam a quick end. Why should I give one to you?"

Summary
“What do you want. For him.”
Tamlin's eyes flicked down, to where Lucien was watching the exchange in silence. Measuring.
“A favour,” Tamlin said at last, tone edged with smug satisfaction. “One you’ll grant when I call it in.”
No.
Rhys bit the inside of his cheek, grounding himself against the immediate, instinctive rejection. Too open-ended. Too dangerous.
“A favour of equal value,” Rhys corrected smoothly, voice calm, almost bored. “And one I am able to grant.”
Tamlin’s eyes narrowed, the amusement thinning into something sharper. “You really think an Autumn omega is worth that?”
I think he deserves to be.
Even if he isn’t, by your standards.
“I want him,” he said lightly. “That’s enough.” The simplicity of it landed heavier than anything else. Tamlin scoffed, but it lacked some of its earlier certainty. His gaze flicked again—back to Lucien, to the way he sat, to the silence he held, the hazy, druged out fear.
“Fine,” Tamlin said, the word clipped, reluctant, but real. “He's yours."

Summary
I open the book.
“Well there is a map of the Continent and of Basgiath, huh.” I show everyone quickly.
"The following text has been faithfully transcribed from Navarrian into the modern language by Jesinia Neilwart, Curator of the Scribe Quadrant at Basgiath War College. All events are true, and names have been preserved to honor the courage of those fallen. May their souls be commended to Malek.” -Fourth Wing
I pause and we all look towards Jesinia who blushes while Ridoc translates for her. He says while signing, “Well, at least we know you make it out alive.”
***
Before they can get into the meeting with the Irids, the characters of Fourth Wing find themselves in a room away from Basigath or Aretia and with a stack of books. Follow along as they read about Violet's experience in the Quadrant and about their future.*Updates Sunday Nights (with the occasional Monday night if I'm behind lol)*

Summary
The war ended. Azriel never came home.
For three years, Prythian mourned the loss of its Shadowsinger. No body was ever found, no final battle ever witnessed—only silence. Eventually, even hope became another casualty of war.
Then a drunk in an Autumn tavern mentions the High Lord's newest pet. Black wings. Scarred hands. Doesn't talk anymore.
Cassian brings him home. That was the easy part.
And Cassian—who loved Azriel for five hundred years and never once said it—believes he is the worst possible male to nurse a broken thing back to life. He's going to do it anyway. However long it takes.
He can wait. He has nothing but time, and every reason in the world to give Azriel all of his. -

Summary
“You deserve to be chosen without hesitation. You deserve someone who doesn’t leave you wondering. You deserve more than standing in the background hoping that maybe, someday, life will decide it’s your turn.”
The room fell quiet once more.
Cassian smiled sadly. “I know we’ve never talked about any of this.”
“We haven’t.”
“And maybe we never will again.”
Azriel’s shoulders eased by the smallest fraction.
“But I couldn’t watch you walk away tonight believing you’re worth so little.”
