Summary
Rhaenyra Targaryen died believing she had lost everything.
Daemon Targaryen died in the sky above the Gods Eye, with the Dance of the Dragons still raging around them. They expected death. They did not expect to wake again.
Three centuries have passed since the Dance of the Dragons, and the world they knew is gone. Valyria is little more than a memory, the Targaryen dynasty has been reduced to a handful of exiles, and dragons have vanished from the world. Until Daenerys Targaryen walks into their lives. Young, frightened, and carrying the last three living dragons in the world, Daenerys has no idea that the two strangers she discovers in the Red Waste belong to a history she knows only through fragments and stories.
Rhaenyra and Daemon, meanwhile, know nothing of the three hundred years that followed their deaths.
