Summary
Olruggio noticed the pattern. He'd wake up, the events of the night before hazy, and Qifrey would say he'd been drinking too much again. But this haze was completely different from a hangover, and he didn't drink until he forgot most of the time. So, he started taking notes. He compiled notebooks, writing down his theories, and traced it all back to one thing; Qifrey.
This is the story of how their most recent confrontation goes.

"Between the two of us, I'm the mechanic with his wits about him right now," Mouse says gently. He tightens his hold on the back of Razor's neck, pulling him down more firmly to be on more even ground with him. "I can make you stop if you go too far, but I can't bring you back from the dead if you starve. Medic's orders, Razor."
Razor pants, fangs extended, mandibles twitching. His blink is slow and almost sleepy, but he strokes a gentle claw over the cabling of Mouse's waist. "Promise me."
Mouse takes a deep vent and guides Razor's face down to his neck. The delicate part that is all cables and wires, too small to be protected with armor. "I promise. You won't hurt me." The warmth of Razor's ex-vent across his fuel lines makes him shiver, but it's not fear that makes his tanks flip and churn.

Summary
Six times Olruggio forgot and one time he remembered.
Qifrey erases Olruggio's memory after accidentally confessing his love, and soon comes to realize that he can't stop.
"Olly."
"Why do you say my name like that?"
"Like what?"
He's not sure when they started whispering. It feels as if something will break should either of them speak above a certain volume. Qifrey should stop this here. He should know better. But temptation is a powerful thing and Qifrey's inhibitions go away when he's drunk.
"Like you mean somethin' else." Olruggio's fingers, cold from the wine glass, find Qifrey's wrist. It's a gentle touch, one that doesn't impede Qifrey's ability to draw circles against Olruggio's leg, but one that makes him lose focus. His thumb presses against Qifrey's pulse point, a soft reminder of something lost.
"Perhaps I do."

Summary
Qifrey has spent his entire life wishing to die, which—as a vampire cursed with eternal life—is a difficult thing to accomplish. He has also spent just as long believing humans incapable of kindness.
So when he is sent to spy on a professor, who is infuriantingly kind and hopelessly devoted to finding the creature that took his missing apprentice, it shakes everything Qifrey thought he knew.
Unfortunately, they also keep serving him tea and pie.
Things go downhill from there.

Summary
After an intense hookup in the lab brought on by Perceptor inhaling chemical fumes, Brainstorm is left worrying whether the connection they'd made was genuine. Perceptor spends an entire night making sure that Brainstorm is left with no doubts in his mind over where their relationship stands. Perceptor finds that dirty talk over their private comms seems to be an effective method for getting his lab partner to forget how self-conscious he is, judging by the way Brainstorm moves his wings.
