Summary
It’s the first time in a while that he doesn’t know what comes next. He’s dove into the water hundreds of times. Screamed as his flesh was torn apart, heard Master of Puppets in the distance and held back tears. Felt Max’s cold, small hand in his as she laid in the hospital bed. There are things that always happen, no matter how hard he tries: El doesn’t arrive in time. Eddie dies. Max is put in a coma.
Steve fails. They lose.
“Steve, how many loops have you been through?”
His head is nodding, and his eyes are watery, and Eddie has approached him like a spooked animal.
“I lost count.”
AKA: The one where Steve Harrington is stuck in a time loop, and Eddie Munson is really fucking hard to save, or: fuck Volume 2, these bitches are in love.

Summary
The man’s voice once again broke him from his thoughts; “In my dreams I see them tortured by Fire Nation soldiers. I see my entire culture wiped from the South, our footprint upon the ice shelves gone as though we never existed, our connection with the spirits and our ancestors forgotten.” He was silent for the briefest of moments, then, “You’re Fire Nation, aren’t you?”
Zuko rolled onto his side, facing the wall, scar pressed into the arm that cushioned his head. “Once, maybe.”
“Answer me this, then; when will this war see it's end?”
Zuko, recalling the fire that had burned in Azula’s sunlit gaze the day she’d caught up to him, chose not to respond.

Summary
“The details of your assignment are of a … personal nature," says Gaara. “I couldn’t risk any documentation of the specifics of the request.”
“Is something wrong?” Lee’s heart jackrabbits in his chest. “Are you in danger? Is it—?”
Gaara inhales so sharply that Lee can nearly feel it against his ear, despite the wires and miles between them.
“Lee, I want you to spend my heat with me.”

Summary
Rock Lee: Handsome Green Devil of the Leaf Village! Master of the Eight Gates! . . . Consort of the Kazekage?
When Lee is asked to pose as Gaara’s significant other at a coronation in order to avert an assassination attempt, he readily agrees. He’ll do anything to protect Gaara. Even if he has to leave his weights at the door. Even if he has to face down the Wind Country diplomats who don’t consider him a shinobi because he can’t do ninjutsu. Even if he has to spend hours looking at Gaara’s handsome face in ceremonial makeup. (This may be more difficult than he anticipated.)
