...Wait. She paused, peeking her head out of the hiding spot to do a double take. ‘Holy fuck, did Rumi just—?!’
Mira sent the librarian a matching grin of her own, confidence emanating from her posture. She turned to leave, but not before turning towards a very specific bookshelf — and to the girl's horror, making direct eye contact with Zoey behind her hiding spot, then winking.
“It’s nice to meet you too," she drawled in that diabolically low voice.
No questions left. This girl was the daughter of Satan himself, Zoey was convinced.
