Summary
The Brothers have left, leaving pawns in their place to squabble over the fate of humans and faunus. In their absence, a new god has set it's sights on Remnant. A trickster, indifferent to those on Remnant.
However, something else has followed this god, truly unlike anything ever seen on Remnant. Something with the ability to change the world, or destroy it. This new pawn on the board is strong, strong enough that both Ozpin and Salem have sensed it. Luckily, only Ozpin sent an associate to find out what disrupted the world.
How will a void-touched being change the entire course of Remnant as we know it?

Dismas is silent for a long time. He turns everything over in his mind, chews the side of his tongue, before speaking again. “So.. It’s a goat.”

Danny would like to say for the record that it was not his fault.
In fact, Danny would say that it was entirely Clockwork's fault. After all, he wouldn't even be in this situation if it wasn't for that cryptic time god.
But what was his fault was the fact that he kept helping.
He kept taking the cash from the assholes messing with the residents who lived in the area (and damn there were a lot of assholes near where he lived). He kept accepting their offers of food. So because of this new routine that kept him able to afford to rent out his shitty (and possibly illegal) apartment and the hunger pangs sufficiently satisfied, rumors grew.
tldr; after Clockwork dropped of Danny in Gotham he tries to make the best out of the situation which includes helping out some people. Except along the way that led to rumors that he was an up-and-coming crime boss. A rumor he was largely unaware of.

The blood gets deeper as Silent Salt trudges up the hill, rising from the edge of his sabatons to lap at his ankles and pull at the hem of his cape. The cave transforms from jagged rock to smooth stone brick, and he pauses before an archway leading into a wide hall. He can hear labored breathing from within, and from the sound, it is a great beast, indeed. There is no sign of it as he peers in, however— the room is dark and the light is uncertain, reflecting off the pooled blood that covers the floor.
"Ah," comes a pained whisper from his right, and Silent Salt turns sharply to see another almost-corpse reaching for him. "Please… help us… Ludwig the Accursed… is coming!"
Silent Salt Cookie dreams while bound in the Silver Tree, and finds himself in the Hunter's Nightmare.
