“I know a way.” There was a gleam in Jespers eyes that sent Wylans heart racing. Whether it was fear, or excitement, or a thrilling mix of the both, it did not matter. He would follow Jesper into the depths of hell to be allowed to kiss those lips one more time.
“A few more steps, then we’ll be safe in the fire swamp.”
Wylan decided he really ought to be careful what he wished for. Suddenly, the depths of hell seemed far too realistic. “We’ll never survive!”
Jesper grinned that devilish grin of his. The one that promised trouble, and adventure, and fun. Wylan has missed that grin.
