"Yeah bro." Flame confirmed.
Wemmbu continued. "You were in the mafia for a long time. So how did you manage to avoid it? Are you just naturally immune, or was there something you were doing to prevent it?"
"Wait, bro, you think I managed to avoid it?"
Wemmbu raised an eyebrow, eyeing Flame's pitch black locs. "Well, your hair isn't exactly white." If anything, his hair was darker than it had been before the mafia, not lighter.
"Bro. Hair dye." Flame replied quickly, then looked away.
"Oh." Wemmbu almost didn't continue the conversation after that, but then got curious. "Why do you dye your hair?"

Flame’s eyes widened behind his blindfold, attention suddenly drawn upwards by the unfortunate melody that announced another strike.
Ashen began whimpering at his side, nosing and clawing at the rubble around his legs in a pressing attempt to free him.
He stared down at him for a second, before finally snapping out of it.
“Shit-” He flicked his wrist, desperately searching his inventory.
…
Nothing.
No pearls.
No totems,
..There was nothing.
His eyes gaped even more, and finally; an actual, real look of terror enveloped his face.
For the first time; he couldn't get out of this.
He had no resources. He couldn't pull off some last second clutch like he always did.
There was nobody here to save him, nobody even knew he was here!
..He was going to die.
