Sasha was focused on what she knew of Josten and Day, trying to place the information she had in some form of order that made sense.
Every interaction of the strikers was added to her puzzle pieces - not that they were making any sense, be it separately or together.
Josten and Day were the frightening duo they were known as on the court but even off the court, they stuck together. They were friendly enough with most everyone else but it was Day who tossed Josten an electrolyte drink, Josten who taped up Day’s calf, and the two of them who arrived and left together every day without fail.

Summary
Everyone has a perception of Kevin Day. Whether it was exy star, celebrity hunk, ruthless player, insufferable asshole, traitorous bitch... everyone has their take. The thing is Kevin Day doesn't even know who Kevin Day is. He's not sure he wants to know, either. Not with every part of him cracking under the weight of the Raven implosion, Jean's transition to USC, the impending court case, Riko's death and the fan backlash. Who he is, what he needs, and what he wants is irrelevant. And it always has been.
A continuation of the story in 'Waiting You Out'. This is set just before the end of that fic, where Renee gets shut out of Kevin's life. This is also set around the end of 'The Sunshine Court'. The story is now from Kevin's POV.

Summary
Neil turned to look out the window, letting the smoke burn through his lungs longer than he should’ve. It hurt; it made him feel real again. He let it out slowly, afraid time might slip away with the exhale, and he’d become this smoke dissipating into the wind once more.
If it were a year ago, he would write this off as his memory being odd. It always had been. Conversations he was present for slipped away, and more than just possessions got lost between the cities they stayed in. If this were a year ago, he’d write the missing hours away because he’d been jumbled and upset, and his mind didn’t always hit the record button for the bad stuff. But he wasn’t just surviving for himself anymore.

And then there’s a call from an unknown number, no more than an hour ago.

“This has to be some kind of conflict of interest,” Regulus says, his lip curling at James.
James shrugs, the idiot, “I don’t know.” His voice is weary, tired. He even looks tired, even though he’s been sleeping all day. In fact, he looks more than just a bit tired. There are deep, dark circles under his eyes, his hair is sticking up– and not in the endearing way it usually is– but simply out of control.
He’s thinner than he used to be, and his brown skin is sallow. Regulus’ eyes catch on the two massive bandages wrapping around his arms.
Jesus fuck.
Regulus had no idea James was… no. He couldn’t do this right now. He was here (and had been for some time now) to figure his own shit out. Not to worry about James’ suicidal ideations. Not to mention, he hated James. So this whole thing? It wasn’t going to work.
