Summary
A letter from the Ragnvindr estate to the Knights of Favonius HQ in the middle of the night reads:
There has been an incident at the Dawn Winery manor. I deemed it drastic enough to alert the Knights. Send an investigation team over, but exclude Calvary Captain Kaeya in it. Do so posthaste. Please.
Diluc Ragnvindr
Naturally, Kaeya finds a way to be there anyway.
or: there is gameplay-accurate poisoning, rampaging, field trips to springvale, learning how to accept help, moving back into old homes, and risking everything to protect the ones who would do the same for you.

“This is what I must do, to protect what I love,” he responds. “It’s not enough to just try to boot him out. His network is beyond comparison.”
“Just how large is it?” Jean gasps.
“He is the new uncrowned king of Mondstadt,” Kaeya says. “Almost every knight we have either is loyal or blackmailed by him. Several captains listen exclusively to him, and he even has Varka’s ear. You, Jean, are the only one he does not have blackmail on.”

In the aftermath of Diluc's departure, Kaeya is left to pick up the pieces. With the same skills that allowed him to enter into the Ragnvindr household, he must now fight for the freedom of Mondstadt. The only question is: will he be able to survive what it takes to catch a traitor?

Summary
Jing Yuan pauses. “Yingxing doesn’t think I’m weird, right?”
“I’m sure you’ve already passed that point,” Jingliu reassures him.
Jing Yuan nods, like she’s given him some sage advice. “It doesn’t matter. We’re past judgement. We’re comrades now. Brothers-in-arms in the Yinyue-jun fan club.”Jingliu does not need to bear witness to her disciple's childish courtship antics. Making him do drills until he drops would be an adequate punishment for subjecting her to such horrors, she thinks.

Summary
"The best strategy against Mondstadt," Kaeya says, "is to take her down before war even begins."
"Wouldn't that be the best way for any nation?" Diluc says. Then, "why am I still humoring you about this?"
"Well," Kaeya says, "you see, it's because Mondstadt's Archon is the only one of the seven that gets stronger in a war."Kaeya, the eighth nation, and the seven archons of teyvat.
