Summary
Zuko y Jet se conocen en el ferry. Zuko y Jet hacen más que conocerse en el ferry. Luego, todo se va a la mierda por un té caliente. Hasta que deja de irse a la mierda. Hasta que vuelve a irse en serio. En medio, un salón de té, saltos por entre los techos, una policía secreta y... ¿otra vez el Avatar? Hm... ya habían superado eso, pero qué se le puede hacer.
Parece que el destino de Zuko es nunca lograr encontrar la paz.

Jet sobrevive a Ba Sing Se y decide unirse al Avatar y su equipo. Una lástima que a ese equipo se sume un maestro fuego. Y encima, encima de todo, ese maestro fuego tiene que ser ese chico que él conoció en la ciudad, y al que no creía llegar a volver a ver nunca. Enfrentarán a la Nación del Fuego, ganarán la guerra... ¿y después qué?

Summary
Jet leans a fraction forward more, placing a hand on Zuko’s knee. The heat from the touch hits him sharper than the sea wind and Zuko's eyes snap back up.
Jet lets himself pause, watching for a flicker of reaction, any sign of retreat— but Zuko doesn’t move.
Zuko stares, silent, intense, burning.
“So, are you with me?”
And Zuko's gaze flickers to Jet's hands, like he hesitates another moment but then— Zuko nods slowly, eyes remain locked on Jet’s now.
"...yes.”
Jet exhales through his nose like something clicks into alignment. His grin is impossible to hide.

Or: Jet identifies the prince of the Fire Nation on a ferry to Ba Sing Se— it quickly goes downhill from there.

Summary
When Zuko meets a cocky would-be terrorist on the ferry, he would never have imagined that he would end up losing his first kiss, first love, and first heartbreak to him.
When Jet meets a scarred, solitary teenager on the ferry, he absolutely imagines it will end in one of their beds, not that his beliefs will be tested to their breaking points.
Neither is prepared for what the future has in store for them.
"Please."
"Say it again. Please what?"
"Please… don't kill me. Please."
"Say my name. Let me hear it."
The blade is pressed harder against his skin, draws the littlest bit of blood.
"Please don't kill me… Jet."

'~.~'--'~.~'On the ferry, Jet thought he'd found a kindred spirit.
Zuko had the good sense to be wary of making friends in the city.
It was a passing fascination with one another that had ended the moment Jet spotted previously cold tea steaming in a cup.
In another world, an evenly-matched fight in the street and an arrest by the Dai Li would be the final time their paths ever crossed.This, however, was not that world.
Somehow, someway, the strings of fate had unwound and rewoven to give their story a different ending.Beneath the waters of Lake Laogai, the rocks sent Jet's way did not land a fatal blow.
Beneath the palace of Ba Sing Se, Zuko made a different choice.
Each had done things that they were not proud of to get where they were, and life would not be much kinder moving forward. Especially when they refuse to get along.
Even so, there is comfort to be found when mixing lychee and jasmine.
