"There's something we need to talk about." Jordan spoke with that quiet gravity that was so characteristic of him, but it was the note of apprehension in it, of genuine care for Jacob's feelings in whatever the matter was going to be, that caught Jacob's attention.
Instead of whatever joke he had planned to crack, he adjusted his position to further face Jordan, and waited.
Jordan sighed. "My job," he started. "I'm not an accountant."

After returning and living with Jacob for over a months now... Jordan decides to come clean about his job. Jacob doesn't believe him - but that's okay, because he ends up narrowly avoiding death-by-aberration anyway, and is forced to believe. (He also meets Val and Lucas so... That's cool?)
