Summary
Relationships are about compromise.
This is how Alastor compromises—by occasionally getting so inebriated that letting Vox touch him feels like the usual colony of fire ants have strapped on wool slippers, leaving behind a neutral warmth on his skin instead of a repulsive, burning itch.

Summary
Mr Wines lists precariously to the side, its hooded body colliding with a nearby wall; a passerby averts their eyes, too overwhelmed to be in the presence of a Master's grace and authority to speak. Forced to retire early from its own revel! The indignity! It is not fit to be seen by its lessers like this, but what else is there? A retreat back to duties and scheming, ungrateful colleagues, to the weight of promises on its shoulders? Does it not deserve a reprieve from its cold, lonely spire?
Well. Well, maybe there is somewhere else it could go. A brief indulgence. It is so very good at those.

Summary
At some point, Alastor realized that the shaking in his chest was also laughter, and that he had fully tumbled onto the floor while cackling at his…
Hm. At his Vox.
There was no label that was appropriate for the two of them, no word that properly fit their dynamic. They were enemies, certainly, but surely to be such good enemies for such a long time entitled a person with the benefits of friendship on rare occasion, no? And surely enemies who were sometimes friendly and who didn’t really want the other gone weren’t proper enemies, but surely, too, friends did not often try to murder each other in the streets ? And then, Alastor was also quite sure that neither friends nor enemies sometimes snuck each other into their respective buildings in the dead of night.
As such, Alastor determined, there was really no proper term for them!
Maddeningly, Angel Dust had said this was called a “situationship.”
OR
Semi-established relationship Alastor and Vox get very high together. Shenanigans ensue.

“Wait, that was actually his name? Like on his birth certificate, it said 'Alastor'?”
“It’s not that weird of a name.”
“It’s a serial killer name! If you look at a baby and think, yeah, that’s an Alastor, you’re basically asking him to murder people. Like, that’s on you.”
