Summary
They say Hollywood can turn anyone into a god if they’re beautiful enough.
Cheng Xiaoshi already knows this. He wears tailored suits, gives dazzling smiles on command, and lets America fall in love with him one picture at a time. The studios adore him. The public worships him. The headlines belong to him.
Until one photographer refuses to look impressed.
Lu Guang wanted nothing more than a quiet life behind the camera lens — not secret parties soaked in gin and gold light, not vicious tabloids, and certainly not the dangerous attention of Hollywood’s brightest star.
But desire in this city is a vicious thing.
And under the velvet glamour of old Hollywood, love has always been a scandal waiting to happen.- Language:

I was this close to calling this fic 'The butterfly effect', but alas...
My agenda for this:
□ deaf Lu Guang
□ give Lu Guang a special interest (butterflies)
□ make Cheng Xiaoshi a lovable himbo incarnate
□ write mysterySeries

Summary
Here’s the thing: Lu Guang knows, objectively, that Cheng Xiaoshi loves his parents.
When Cheng Xiaoshi loves something—when he loves someone—he develops a blind spot. An unconscious calculation, more like, of how many times, how much, how deeply that person can hurt him before he can no longer find it in himself to forgive. For Cheng Xiaoshi, Lu Guang knows, that measure is infinite. Cheng Xiaoshi forgives like breathing.
Lu Guang is not so virtuous.
(or: with liu xiao and the saros folks out of the picture, lu guang has to figure out how to live without the benefit of foresight. or is it hindsight?)
