Summary
From a young age, he knew he'd drown. The responsibilities his parents piled on his small shoulders were too much to tread water with.
Eddie doesn't find a good time at the bottom of the bottle.

Summary
Eddie knew he’d made a mistake when the alcohol started to go down like water. He’d barely managed to grab hold of the shot glass before he knocked it back. Considering the shot was vodka, the lack of cringing was a definite sign. His flushed cheeks and glassy eyes were another dead giveaway.

Summary
Buck would’ve stayed in bed with Eddie had he known he’d go through a shift from hell. Constant calls and no Eddie by his side. He’d barely finished putting on his uniform when the alarm blared through the firehouse.

Summary
"Would you choose me? If it was between me and hockey?"
The question throws Shane off completely. He felt like he had just been punched.
"Why would you ask me that?" Shane couldn't help but yelp.
"Because I'm...!" Ilya stopped, his hand covered his mouth as his eyes teared up. Suddenly, a sense of dread overcome Shane. Before he could say anything, Ilya whispered: "Because I think you'll have to, Shane."
Or, Ilya is not (just) depressed, but that doesn't mean their plan won't collapse.

Every time Erik finds his way back to the manor, Charles greets him with an open balcony door.
Based on the post from dorkysunflower219 on tumblr: "alpha erik occasionally slinking into the school like a tomcat and having his way with a very willing omega charles and inevitably a few months later the esteemed professor xavier is teaching classes with a noticeably round belly."

Summary
Sasuke is tried for the crimes he's committed against Konoha. The elders have no intention of setting him free, so he readies himself for life in prison.
That is until a certain blond, boisterous hero jumps in and saves him by offering up the most logical solution:
“Marriage,” Shikamaru drawled, smoke following the exhale from the pipe he’d been nursing since, well, the beginning of the trial. “You want to marry Sasuke.”

Summary
And here’s the thing. If Buck was paying just a little more attention, he probably would’ve clocked what the pain in his middle meant a lot sooner. It wouldn’t change the outcome, sure, but he’d at least be ahead of the curve.
The worst part is that it’s all rather obvious in retrospect, because the signs are all there. The flickering lights. The gymnasium air rippling and warping like heat off pavement. The dark patches on everyone’s suits and dresses.
He should’ve seen it.
But all he sees is Eddie. Everything else is just white noise and set dressing.
