Summary
Dean has known about the family curse ever since it claimed the life of his mother: anyone who dares to love a Winchester is fated to die. When he takes a chance on love and loses his husband Benny, his belief in its power only grows stronger.
Two years later, a late-night phone call from his brother Sam sends both of their lives spinning wildly out of control. Then Officer Cas Novak arrives in town, looking into the disappearance of Sam’s girlfriend Ruby, and starts asking questions Sam and Dean can’t answer. Complicating matters even further, Dean feels an immediate, overwhelming connection to the intense, blue-eyed source of their problems.
Dealing with all the secrets, the lies, and a brother slowly crumbling under the weight of his guilt doesn’t leave much time for romance, but as Cas gets closer to the truth, he also gets closer to Dean.
Inspired by the film Practical Magic.

Summary
Buck’s clinging to any relic of this life he's been living. He wants something that says Evan Buckley was loved once, even if he didn't get to keep it. Buck just wants to go home.
Or: Eddie moves out, Buck moves in, and the love is stored in the walls of the Diaz house.

Second prompt of Pregnant Buck Week!
It's been three weeks since Eddie left for El Paso, and Buck calls Maddie to ask her a possibly stupid question about whether there was a new strain of stomach virus going around, or if the fears screaming at him in the forefront of his mind was right. When Maddie is suspicious herself, she shows up to Eddie's place with a brown paper bag in tow, ready to help her baby brother out.
" You sound like shit, Buck. Have you been sleeping well or at all? I told you it wasn't healthy for you to be staying at Eddie's place while he's gone. " It almost sounded like Maddie was insinuating that Buck was doing the very same thing he had when Abby had left him alone at her apartment after she moved to Ireland. Never mind the fact that it'd taken Buck two of those three weeks to actively spend the night at Eddie's house. But wasn't it technically considered Buck's place now?

Summary
There was a correlation between how short Eddie’s responses were and the darkness of the bags under his eyes.
Frankly, Buck wouldn’t be sleeping either if his parents had swooped in and taken away the most important person in the world to him. Hell, he’s kinda been in fight/flight/freeze mode himself since Chris left, and Chris isn’t even technically his kid. In practice, of course, is different. But ultimately he doesn’t feel like he has the right to grieve the way Eddie is. And worse, he doesn’t know how to help and not risk making it worse.
Until he has the forced realization that it’s as bad as he can let it get without doing something, anything.
Said realization is forced by Eddie collapsing on the job.

or: eddie’s not sleeping and buck’s worried. after all, he’s supposed to be the one who fixes everything, isn’t he?
