He's not worth it. He knows that - he's always known that. His father made sure he never forgot it after all. He's a sorry excuse for a human being and what many consider a waste of space. No one wanted him and no one could love him. Not before. Not ever. This was just a fact of his existence he had long since accepted. So, why? Why did fate have to be so cruel and give him not one, not two, but twenty-one soulmates? Hadn't he suffered enough? He already knew he wasn't worth anyone's love, he didn't need to reminded with what would no doubt be complete rejection from his soulmates. He wouldn't survive that. He wouldn't.
So, why? Why was fate so cruel to him? Hadn't he lost enough already?

Mineta thought going to U.A. would allow him to avoid all his soulmates. He was sure there was no way they'd be going to the same school as him, but he was wrong. Of course, what she accidentally stumbles upon might just change her mind. After all, being the mistress to her energetic familiar is also quite tiring. Nothing wrong with ceding control to her Saito after one round, right?

Summary
Freshly reunited with his powers (and his spirits) after the showdown with the Fullbringers, Ichigo Kurosaki is content to go back to the kind of daily life he wants to live. Fate and biology however have other plans. When his inner hollow causes him to develop some concerning behaviors, he retreats to Hueco Mundo to ride out whatever is happening to him.
It was a good plan, a great plan even, except Grimmjow Jaegarjaques hunts him down across the vast wastes with vicious intent. He bulldozes right through Ichigo's life as usual, claiming something about 'stupid Alpha reiatsu kickstarting his heat' and goes right for the kill as he always does. When Ichigo and his hollow claim victory, though, things start to go very differently.
They'd always been compatible in other ways, but as hollow biology comes into play everything goes off the rails.Series
