Summary
Asa loved dressing up.
It was a simple fact- the sky was blue, grass was green, she loved her brother, and she loved dressing up. Maybe it was because it was one of the few times that they would let her out of the cage- allowing the gate to fall open while her mother gently tugged a young Asa to her chambers to change into her clothes for the day. Maybe it was the fond memories of her mom walking into a clothing store like she owned the place and showing Asa around, letting her pick her outfit for the outside world. Maybe it was the ritual of it- the order of how she put her clothes on, folding the clothes she discarded carefully despite the fact she knows that she has more clothes and doesn't need to rotate the same outfits carefully.
Whatever it was, it was soothing to her, both getting dressed up and looking for new clothes. It was, also, quite simply, fun. Sue her! It was! She was having a great time right now in this secondhand store, even as her brother sneezed from all the dust she was sure she was kicking up with how fast she was flipping through the clothes on the rack.
