Summary
It was shaping up to be a sticky hot NYC summer and Eliot’s body mostly works, and Quentin’s brain works about 50% of the time now, which is a marked improvement. Fillory’s fucked and there’s drama with the hedges and they’re helping when they can but– not all the time. Eliot’s taken to being really fucking aggressive about everyone giving them the time they need to heal.
In which Eliot’s body heals, Quentin goes back on meds, and they go to Pride. Featuring friends, communication and a very excitable baby dog.

Summary
There’s a little reading nook in the Physical Kids Cottage at Brakebills. It seems tiny from the outside, but it’s actually just small enough to be cozy and has a high enough ceiling that even Eliot can sit comfortably in it without constantly having to hunch. With warm golden lights and comfortably cushy padding and pillows and blankets, it’s the perfect place to make a little nest and hide from the world.
Quentin, to the surprise of absolutely no one who’s ever met him, loves it in there.
Three vignettes at various points where Quentin and Eliot steal a moment for themselves.

Summary
Quentin Coldwater is trying to figure out what he wants from life. Everyone around him seems to be stepping off into adulthood with career success and personal accomplishments; his childhood best friend is even getting married. And then there’s the Eliot of it all— Eliot Waugh, Quentin’s friend, confidant, found family member... who he’s been sleeping with for the better part of a year. Eliot’s the only person in Quentin’s life not trying to push him in one direction or the other, but it may turn out that Eliot’s the person he wants to build his future around after all.
