    Jace looked up into Cregan’s steel-grey eyes. Everything about his bearing seemed to embody the cold, rugged North, and yet…there seemed to be a certain fire flowing through him, much like Winterfell itself. His hand was certainly warm in his own, and it sent an unexpected little thrill down his spine. The Lord of the North was a handsome man. He had never quite had the urge to be pressed to a wall and kissed so much as he did in Cregan’s presence, but he remained composed.

    “My Lord,” he replied, “I am most grateful. It is you who honors me.”
