Summary
The reality crashes onto Ethan like cold water tossing into his face. He halts just as revulsion curls into his gut at the thought of Mia being escorted by the B.S.A.A. everywhere, Rose being put through some kind of sick therapy to contain her powers, and them being just as ostracized from society for an incident they did not ask for. Every little micro-aggression for a little unfairness in life will put the government on edge and quarantine them for further surveillance, like evaluating criminals with no sense of control.
They were all ticking-bombs, and just reducing their little family by one did not make a damn difference to the world.
“... What the fuck was I supposed to do then?”
“I think you already know the answer to that one, Ethan,” the Mold whispers.
