Summary
You've seen an omega, right? Everybody has. Even though they are rare, and beta is the most common gender nowadays, everyone still knows what an omega is like, regardless of gender. Omega is small, soft and cute, delicate, dainty, graceful. A perfect little thing, made to be spoiled rotten and protected.
And then there is Mingi. Heavily built 6ft man, all bones and muscles, practically oozing masculinity and strength. Clumsy and bulky, rough around the edges, rugged and handsome. The stereotypical perfect visual of an alpha. Except.. he's an omega.
Omega with omega's needs and wants, omega's instincts. But who would want an omega like Mingi. The answer is,

Summary
The news broke two weeks before the NHL draft.
The Russian Youth Hockey Organization had just been busted for a doping scandal — except it wasn't performance enhancing drugs they had been slipping their prospects to keep their competitive edge. Evidence had surfaced that they had been suppressing the presentation of their athletes' second genders with an altered form of puberty blockers. Almost all of the Russian team that Shane had faced at World Juniors were pre-presentation, and he had no idea until the articles came flooding out.
All of the associated athletes were rendered ineligible for drafting into the KHL, NHL, or any other professional league, be it in Russia or the west.
“See you at the draft,” Rozanov had said to Shane at World Juniors, but he didn’t.
Shane wouldn’t see Ilya Rozanov again for another five years.
