As soon as Alastor said it, Vox's hands gripped at the sides of his collar. It was made of some weird kind of metal, cold against his claws. He pried at it with all his strength, but all that did was make his hands hurt. That shouldn't be possible. Vox could rip through steel. He tried not to let the panic show on his face.
"It's been welded on," Alastor said. "And it's angelic metal. Quite durable. I suppose you could lose your head again, if you're that determined. But failing that, you're... what's the word? Ah. Completely and utterly fucked."
