Suffocating under the weight of grief and feeling disconnected and lost, Diluc's passive suicidal ideation starts to develop into something more concrete. He's struggling with his father's death, what happened to him during his time away, and the damage he's done to his relationship with Kaeya. Forgiving himself seems impossible, and it's getting harder and harder for him to get out of bed every morning.
Meanwhile, Kaeya just wants his brother back, Adelinde wants Diluc to stop running headfirst into danger, and Jean wants her childhood friend to smile again, and they - along with some new friends Diluc makes along the way - are determined to show Diluc how loved he truly is.

A novelization of the game that follows the Genshin timeline as closely as my canon allows it to where the traveler is most definitely not normal and it shows. No end game pairing as of yet but there will be romantic interactions with some characters.
DISCONTINUED: Sorry guys but I fell out of playing the game and the fandom so this will probably stay where it is now. Also the lore has gone in a totally different direction than I would have expected and it's just going to be hard to reconcile the story I've loosely outlined with what's actually happening in the game especially when we get to late game.
