An unidentified artifact that Anaxa is investigating has unforeseen consequences, opening two portals and bringing them face to face with an older King Mydeimos and a partly-corrupted Strife Mydeimos.
But the second.
The moment he steps through the atmosphere changes, furious power saturating the air, as thick as coagulating blood. Mydei’s blood begins to boil in his veins, and he already knows what it is, even if he doesn’t know exactly who.
What emerges from the swirling portal is not man, but god, radiating divine power from the sunlike brilliance of his eyes to the smoldering tips of his hair, long ragged locks falling to his waist. The man motioned towards the audience, all dressed to the nines for this yearly resplendent event--a gathering of the elites adorned with jewelry and accessories worth millions. Each member of the audience wore a mask, but not for no reason: This was an invitation-only black market auction with illicit goods so rare--so sought-after--that even the government would not fathom their existence.
