He just wanted to drink his tea, ignore the stupid, heavy aching in his chest from when Kacchan had tackled him out of harm's way, and try not to ruin the fragile friendship they've spent their second year rebuilding. But space and time apparently have other plans. Because Izuku is pretty sure there shouldn't be a flash of violet light in the middle of the Heights Alliance kitchen—and he's definitely sure there shouldn't be multiple versions of his childhood friend staring back at him.

A few years back, Izuku somehow ended up marrying a pregnant woman. She was around 1-2 months pregnant at the time and kept quiet about her past. The only thing she ever hinted at was that she ran away for a better future, and Izuku didn't pry any further than that. There was no love between the two; Izuku wanted a family and his mom was insistent about grandkids, and she needed a stable home. They were more like roommates than anything else.
She always expressed her desire to visit the beach more often, loved public spaces, and cherished feeling 'human,' as she put it, mentioning he couldn't wait to show her child these things.
Tragically, she passed away while giving birth, leaving Izuku to raise a child that wasn't his.
OR
Izuku's wife died while giving birth. He didn't know who the father was nor were they in love but the relationship was mutually beneficial
And everything seemed okay
Until they weren't, and he got kidnapped for raising a child from a secret society
