“Just a little precious time from one of your beautiful flowers.” Lahan intoned, not daring to meet her eyes just then. “I was hoping I wouldn’t impose, given the rush isn’t to start for a few hours...”
“Huh?? You want to buy out one of them for the night?” The Madam chuckled evilly. “Well, which one is most to your liking?”
“That’s not what I intend, I assure you.” Lahan said uncomfortably. “Though I will admit that their... expertise is the primary object of my visit.”

Lahan, a senior Data Analyst working for the Ka Corporation, has always assisted his adoptive father with any ad-hoc reports for the good of the company. But after an unclear incident, Lahan receives a particularly dense assignment, to be completed under the table. The results of his research could affect the future of the company, and his own as well. It's too bad that this work will interfere with an equally important project - finding a roommate with enough value to split the rent with.
Or: Lahan crunches data and attempts the dating scene.

Summary
Lahan has settled into his position as adjutant to the Grand Commandant, but his perceived influence is far less than he'd hope for. His new life is far preferable to the old, but with it, it brings its own challenges and concerns. At least now, he does not need to face them completely alone.

“I realized that even I’m connected to it... that those connections are what make up space.” Hachi gazed into her eyes as he spoke now. “I realized that I’m okay with that. Heheh, can’t really explain it... Anyway, that’s what you’ve been tryin’ to tell me all along. That everything in this world is all connected.”
That caused Tanabe’s tears to flow freely again. But they were happy tears now, full of joy, and warmth. She put a hand over Hachi’s own as he continued to speak.
“...and the thing that binds it all together is...” He breathed shakily, and grasped her hand with his own in an interlocking hold, pulling their hands in front of them. Tanabe hiccuped happily, the tears still flowing as she smiled brightly at him.

Did you watch Planetes and were left frustrated at the lack of romantic scenes? I did.
Sure, this style fits well with the overall "implication" theme of the show, but we want the romance scenes, dammit! Especially when the plot manages to block them at every turn.Speed-run through the Planetes romantic scenes between the main two, without cutaways or implications. Plus, a little extra (read: a lot of extra), towards the end.

“It’s so... plain, Lahan!” Xiaolan pouted as they toured the Grand Commandant’s apartments. “It is no wonder that all the rumors I heard about this Office made it sound like I’d be eating bulkheads for breakfast!”
“Well, the way I see it, we have a certain reputation to maintain.” Lahan privately admitted that he hardly even noticed the space in that way. “The Grand Commandant cannot appear to be “soft”, or overly welcoming.”
“There’s simple, and then there’s whatever this is!” Xiaolan hmphed, pausing before a particularly desolate corner where he and Peng sat drinking tea just a week earlier. “I’m going to tell you a list of things, and I want you to order them for me, all right? Everything will still look as imposing as ever - promise!”

Lahan was born among the loose conglomeration of Li's provincial mining belts, but his family seem dead-set on him departing from his home the moment he comes of age. The best of his many options is the yearly Naval Entrance Examination, held on the Academy grounds, on Planet Li. Only time will tell whether Lahan's life will change for the better as attempts to take his future into his own hands.

Summary
Aside from the Tidesages, magic among humans was rare in Kul Tiras. It was rare in most of the world, really. Sure there were a few mages in Dalaran, but they were given their magic by the elves. It was completely unheard of for a human child to be born with magic, until Jaina Proudmoore was born, that is. She quickly became a target as the only remaining heir to the Kul Tiran Admiralty. After three attempts on Jaina's life, Daelin and Katherine Proudmoore have taken Jaina to Quel'Thalas in an attempt to negotiate with the High Elves. The terms? Jaina stays in Silvermoon until she can take care of herself and Kul Tiras will aid Silvermoon in an impending war against the Amani/Zandalari.
Ranger Captain Sylvanas Windrunner just wanted to train her troops, move up the ranks, and take care of HER forest and figure out where all the druids have been disappearing to. When King Anasterian assigns her to be a human girl's new Honor Guard, at first she feels slighted, but the more she learns about Jaina Proudmoore, the more she vows to always be there to protect the girl.

Then, to his utter shock, Katara laughs. Soft, restrained. So like all those times he’d say something that amused her on his ship. “You still haven’t learned to smile when you do that.”
He’s spent months living off the memory of her smile, turning away like it was the suns glare and he only deserved to be burned. Now he stares at it, lungs shriveling the longer he forgets to breath. Wasn't he supposed to be doing something? He can’t remember. Can’t remember his own name, let alone pay attention to a nagging voice that sounds a lot like Azula’s. Not with Katara’s laugh still ringing in his ears.
