Summary
“Mr. Buckley, the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office is currently conducting an investigation into allegations of sexual misconduct involving Dr. Jennifer Wells, a Fire Psychologist hired by the LAFD. We believe you may be able to act as a key witness, and we have a few questions for you.”
Buck doesn't do therapy in person. Buck doesn't talk about his 1.0 days. Buck doesn't talk about his past sex addiction. What happened was consensual, and his fault, and the team clearly agreed, because they had joked about it. It's fine. It doesn't bother him anymore.
The Los Angeles courts don't quite agree. When probationary firefighter Victor Santana of Station 153 presses charges against Dr. Wells, the team come to realize just how deeply she hurt Buck - and how much Buck hasn't been dealing with it.

Summary
Lieutenant Junior Grade Evan “Fisheye” Buckley had left his Navy uniform and dog tag in the back of his closet, silently hoping he would never have to go back on the field again. He was supposed to be Buck, friendly and shiny and tall and altruistic firefighter with a whole bunch of friends that worked as family.
That was before the lawsuit.
Now, here he is, holding a letter from his old commander, recalling him back to active duty, a message from an old friend asking him to answer the call. With no one left to miss him, he doesn't see the harm in marching to his death.
---------
Or five months after the lawsuit, Buck's firefam is nothing but a distant memory lingering. Until his old SEALS mates reach out to him and ask him to enroll into a dangerous mission. And to be loved, Evan Buckley will gladely walk through an acutal mine field, and the rest of the 118 will have to deal with the guilt of it. -

Summary
“What the hell are you doing here?” Eddie asks. It sounds like an accusation.
“I, uh— I’m sorry,” Buck stammers, scratching the back of his head sheepishly, his eyes inconspicuously darting down to Eddie’s bloodied hands. “Eddie... What happened?”
Eddie’s brows twitch. The anger behind his eyes burns hot and heavy. “No, Buck. We’re not doing this. This is literally the worst time for—” He cuts himself off, aggressively pinching the bridge of his nose. “You don’t get to— to insert yourself like this. Not anymore.”
Buck’s heart sinks like a stone in his chest.
“You chose this, remember?” Eddie spits, the words dripping with bitter finality.
As soon as Eddie says that, Buck’s mouth clicks shut. Because he doesn’t remember choosing any of this. Not the icy silences, nor the irritated glances, nor this suffocating loneliness. All he had wished for was to return to his family, not for them to abandon him.
OR: The tsunami is long over. Buck keeps drowning anyway.

Summary
Evan, now known at Buck thanks to his Fire Academy class having three Evan’s, was oddly nervous for his first day at the 118. He was tapping nervously on his steering wheel of his truck. He got it after his basic training when he was seventeen and he couldn’t find it in himself to part with it for a better vehicle just yet. He had thirty minutes till he was to report for his first shift. He was going on for 12 in the middle of A-Shift’s 24. His stomach felt like it was eating itself and his leg that had been shot a year ago while he and his team was saving the people in that downed Army Helicopter ached.

Summary
Part 2 is still a work in progress, but this is a really heavy fic so it's taking me a while to tackle part 2. I've started and restarted it several times, not to mention almost scrapping it all-together and simply leaving everyone with what's already been written.
In other words, please bear with me while I navigate writing this one at a snails pace.
