    Percy was at least happy that this wasn't a prophecy. Stealing back some demigod weapons from a mortal? Sure, Iron Man was a superhero and a genius, but after dealing with Gaea, that was nothing. They just had to steer clear of anyone who might recognize them, and they were positive that they could pull it off easier than most of their quests. And potentially land Leo a job, while they're at it.

    But Percy should have known better. Nothing is ever that simple for a demigod.

    The spell had worked for a while...Peter had managed to rebuild his life and even get his friends back...but then the rifts came back and he knew that he needed to go. To leave his universe for good. Dr Strange had left him with a contingency plan in case of something like this.

    When Peter finds himself in an unknown city covered in injuries from his previous fight and the result of the dimensional travel, he not only realises that this city is way more messed up than New York, but he has also shrunk... a lot, way too much for his liking.
    So hey! He has no other option than to rely on his vigilante persona and rage bait every single bath themed vigilante inside of this city.

    Or

    A Spider-Man in Gotham fic but now I get to write my own because I'm addicted to these, and I just saw the last movie and had to include the new angst in the fic because I cried a lot while watching it.

    Peter Parker, like any 14 year old superhero mutant, really wants to catch a break. And yet somehow, he never gets one. He's just a friendly neighborhood Spider-Man, nothing special, so what gives?

    Well, that's only if you don't look at his biology ever since the radioactive spider bite. Or his extensive track record of running away from his guardians and that he was homeless for a bit. Or the amount of people in his life that have died because he's some kind of bad luck charm. Or that his foster-dad is Tony Stark now.

    Or the fact that he was randomly kidnapped one morning on his way to school, and now he's in an alternate universe with a bunch of strange vigilantes that keep stalking him.

    He thinks they mean well, but they're really weird. Besides that Red Hood guy. He's pretty cool. Though something about them- especially Nightwing- is familiar, that's not important. He has enough on his plate right now, considering there are multiple people trying to upend the fabric of time and space. He can figure out the other details later.
