Wile planted his hands in the scorching dirt and pushed himself up just enough to lift his head. Standing over him was the thief, haloed by the hot sun and still holding the basket in hand. It took a moment to adjust to the brightness, but Wile swore he could see concern in the man’s face for a few seconds before it was replaced with a mischievous smile. And just like that the thief was running off again, leaving him lying in the dirt.

Summary
Well, this was bad. Really bad. Wile E. was used to plans going awry but this was a whole new level. Normally when things went south something blew up and he was out of commission for at the most a day. But this whole kidnapping thing could disrupt his roadrunner catching for who knows how long! Plus, if he died he would never be able to catch the roadrunner!!!
Or…instead of dodging the anvils Wile E. Coyote gets knocked out by them and taken by Acme. The roadrunner is NOT happy about this and vows to find the coyote if he has to search every inch of the earth himself (he might have to)
